Step back in time and visit Ireland House Museum for our Heritage Fibre Festival on September 16, 2026 from 10am to 3pm. Learn about the rich world of fibre arts as we showcase techniques and traditions that would have been popular among the Ireland family—and still are today!

During the event, attendees can explore the grounds of Ireland House Museum and browse our fibre arts market, featuring local artisans. Attendees can also tour the historic home, where demonstrations will be taking place throughout, including knitting, crochet, tatting, and yarn dyeing. There will be activities for children, and music from local musicians. Peach Coffee Co, will also be on-site serving beverages & baked goods.

Admission is pay-what-you-may. Pre-registration is not required. Funding support provided by the City of Burlington Culture Days.

What to Expect...

  • Historic Demonstrations: Tour the historic house see live demonstrations of various fibre arts, including knitting, spinning, weaving, tatting, and rug hooking.
  • Vendor Market: Browse and shop unique creations from local vendors selling a gorgeous variety of handmade fibre arts, specialty yarns, and crafting supplies.
  • Live Local Music: Enjoy live performances from talented local musicians throughout the day.
  • Beverages & Baked Foods: Peach Coffee Co. will be on-site serving up their signature beverages and freshly baked goods.
