Meeting and Event Space Joseph Brant Museum

Joseph Brant Museum, located across from Spencer Smith Park in downtown Burlington, is a unique location for meetings or special gatherings. With free wi-fi, and easy access from major highways, this location is perfect for groups, both small and large. Add-on a Museum visit to enhance your meeting or event.

Venue rentals are available Sunday to Saturday, based on availability. For private functions and event rentals, please contact Robin Hill at robin.hill@burlington.ca  to discuss your needs.

    Shoreline Room

    The Shoreline Room will accommodate gatherings of up to 42 people with tables and chairs.  The 560 sq. ft main floor location makes this a great setting for meetings or special gatherings.  This room also features a drop-down screen, an overhead projector and private black-out drapes.  This room is fully accessible.

    Lakefront Room

    The Lakefront Room, located on the main floor, is the ideal room for up to 48 people with tables and chairs.  This room of 624 sq. ft also features a drop-down screen, an overhead projector and black-out drapes for privacy.  This room is fully accessible.

    Looking to have a larger group?  The drop-down dividing wall can be lifted and the Shoreline and Lakefront Rooms can become one larger space.

    For larger groups, the lobby area can be added and is only available when the Shoreline/Lakefront Rooms are rented and when the museum is closed to the public. 

    The Lobby will accommodate up to 64 people with tables and chairs.

    Located on the main floor, the Builder’s Gallery has seating for up to 6.

    Located on the main floor, is furnished for 12 and has a wall-mounted screen. 

Venue Rentals Ireland House Museum

Imagine your wedding ceremony taking place in a lovely four-acre secluded refuge of green, in a picturesque natural setting surrounded by tall trees.  Say your “I Do’s” by towering walnut trees or under a 200-year old mulberry tree or on the front porch of a 19th century house, with simple Georgian style elegance as your backdrop.  

Planning a family and friends’ get-together?  This private park-like setting, with ample space, makes the grounds at Ireland House Museum the perfect location.  

Tents are permitted; event equipment (such as tables, chairs, decor) are the responsibility of the client.

Photography Ireland House Museum

Set the scene for your most memorable moments. The sprawling grounds provide many opportunities to explore different styles and photography themes – rustic, architectural, historical.  Our park-like setting is relaxing, spacious and picture-perfect. 

We also allow dogs, so if you want to bring your four-legged best friend along to be in your pictures this is the place for you. The setting is very natural and casual; it will work well for those who enjoy the outdoors or those who want a more relaxed feeling to their pictures.  

Ireland House Museum, with a variety of back-drops, is the perfect location for your wedding, engagement or family photos.

Meeting Space Ireland House Museum

Located in the Interpretive Centre at Ireland House Museum, the Helen Ireland Caldwell Program Room comfortably accommodates up to 25 people and includes the use of a small adjoining room or servery with a sink and work area.
