WHAT: Farm to Table: Harvest Dinner
WHEN: October 3, 2026 | 6pm to 11pm
WHERE: Ireland House Museum

Gather on the grounds of the historic Ireland House Museum for an unforgettable evening celebrating the importance of growing and eating local in the past, present, and future. Join us for our signature fundraiser, Farm to Table: Harvest Dinner.

The event will celebrate the harvest season with a four-course farm-to-table menu, featuring food grown and harvested within 100km of Ireland House. The evening will also include a cocktail hour and Burlington Farmer’s Market Charcuterie, local wine and beer, tours of the historic home, and local musical entertainment. Set under a tent on the land once cultivated by the Ireland family, this will be a special evening all about local food, good company, and giving back.

This is the Museums of Burlington’s largest fundraiser of the year. Funds from this event will support the care and preservation of our historic collection, and educational programming at the Museums, which serves over 6,000 students annually.

Tickets are $120/person ($115/members) and include a farm-to-table four-course meal, 1 drink ticket, historic home tour, and live musical entertainment. Cash bar available. A charitable donation receipt will be provided for the applicable portion of each ticket purchased, upon request.

If you require assistance purchasing tickets, please contact Miriam Martens at miriam.martens@burlington.ca or 905-634-3556 x 324.

This event is for ages 19+.

Please note: The menu will be confirmed closer to the event pending available items from our local produce suppliers. There will be a vegetarian option.

Where do the funds go…

Funds from this event will support educational programming at the Museums, which serves over 6,000 students annually. Our programming also includes the Heritage Garden Initiative – a collaboration between the Museums of Burlington and M. M. Robinson High School’s horticulture therapy program. Working on the historic grounds of the Ireland House Museum alongside Museums’ staff and volunteers, the students cultivate a heritage garden using traditional methods, growing vegetables and herbs similar to those harvested by the Ireland family in the late 19th century. Students learn about the region’s agricultural history while developing practical horticultural and workplace skills. The project’s impact extends further into the Burlington community, as the harvest from the garden is donated to the Burlington Food Bank.

Special events are important fundraising initiatives for the Museums of Burlington and 100% of the money raised goes directly towards supporting curriculum-based education programs for children and innovative adult programs, as well as the care and preservation of the historic collection. This all aligns with the Museums’ mission to engage our audiences through the sharing of history and culture.

Rooted Locally...
