We’re looking for our next Educator!

Reports to: Supervisor of Public Programs
Status: Part-time (up to 28 hours per week), Contract (1 year) with the possibility of renewal
Location: Joseph Brant Museum and Ireland House Museum
Wage: $20.41/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Education and Outreach, the Educator plays an important role in supporting the development and delivery of meaningful and inclusive programs that serve community members of all ages. A majority of this role involves working directly with children and youth, including school groups, day camps, and family programs.

The Educator is responsible for researching, planning, and delivering on-site and outreach education programs including school and youth programs, day camps and other children’s programs, as well as lecture presentations, adult programs, and community outreach. Success in this role requires a genuine passion for working with children, and the ability to create safe, engaging, and positive learning experiences for young audiences.

Summer Programs Lead

Reports To: Manager, Education and Outreach
Duration: June 8, 2026 – August 28, 2026
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Wage: $19.00/hour
Location: Joseph Brant Museum/Ireland House Museum
Positions: 2

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Education and Outreach, the Summer Programs Lead is responsible for the direct supervision and delivery of programming for the Museums of Burlington’s summer day camps. Instructors will work with different age groups (5 – 8 years old) to deliver, fun, creative, engaging, and educational experiences.

Historical Interpreter

Reports To: Manager, Education and Outreach
Duration: July 6, 2026 – August 28, 2026 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Wage: $17.60/hour
Location: Ireland House Museum

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Education and Outreach, the Historical Interpreter will assist summer programs at Ireland House Museum, including leading guided tours for groups of all ages, assisting with the deliver of summer camps and the supervision of children, and processing admissions and gift shop sales.
