Upcoming Exhibitions

Special exhibitions are subject to change as we work to finalize dates and details. Below is a glimpse of what we're working on.

eat make share: a taste of immigration

April 18 – September, 2026  | Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21

Canada’s food is as diverse as its people. The way we eat is shaped by over 400 years of immigration. Food connects people to the past, to place, and to other people. This travelling exhibition explores the connections between food and immigration in Canada through the universal experiences of eating, making, and sharing food. Discover the surprising histories behind popular Canadian dishes. Learn how individuals and communities express themselves through food. Engage in diverse food traditions practiced in Canada through hands-on and multi-sensory activities.

Money in 10 Questions: Kids’ Edition

October 2026 – January 2027  | Ingenium – Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation

The Bank of Canada Museum asked Canadian kids what they wanted to know about money. A whole lot, as it turned out. More than 800 thoughtful, complex and just plain fun questions flooded in from across the country. This exhibition answers 10 of these questions using a series of play-based activity stations. The answers provide a foundation for what kids need to know to help them manage their financial futures.

Try and save a million dollars. Balance a budget with a scale and weights. Be inspired by a kid entrepreneur to make money. Decide if bones can be money and explore forms of currency that are nearly as strange. You can even touch them—one is furry!

This exhibition provides a space for parents and children to play and learn, sparking conversations and inspiration.

This exhibition was developed by the Bank of Canada Museum. Tour management is provided by Ingenium – Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation.

Soil Superheroes

February 1 – May 7 2027  | Ingenium – Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation (specifically the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum)

The Soil Superheroes travelling exhibition gives visitors an underground look at soil science and conservation. Meet star players like Captain Clay, The Mole, and Wonder Worm, whose “superpowers” feed us, clean our water, and protect our climate. Through playful imagery, hands-on activities, and a colourful storyline, these small-but-mighty characters reveal why soil is so important.

This exhibition was developed by the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum.
