  • History is built by the community - add your voice.

Her STEM story matters.

Do you have a story to tell? Joseph Brant Museum is launching a community-collecting initiative to highlight the achievements of Burlington women in STEM—from engineers and computer scientists to lab technicians, educators, environmental researchers, healthcare innovators, and more.

We’re inviting the community to share:

  • Personal stories
  • Photographs
  • Documents
  • Tools, equipment, or objects from your work
  • Memories of inspiring women in your life

Your contribution will help shape future exhibitions, programs, and digital archives. We’re accepting submissions until March 1, 2026.

Help Us Celebrate Burlington’s Food Heritage!

Joseph Brant Museum is developing an online exhibition exploring local food culture, connected to our next special exhibition, Eat, Make, Share, from the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21.

To bring this project to life, we’re gathering stories, photos, menus, objects, and memories related to Burlington restaurants, cafés, bakeries, diners, and food traditions—past or present.

We want to hear from:

  • Long-time Burlington residents
  • Newcomers who discovered a favourite local spot
  • Former restaurant owners, staff, or chefs
  • Anyone with a meaningful food memory to share

Your contribution may become part of the exhibition, and selected items may be considered for the Museum’s permanent collection.

Have something to share? Please submit your ideas by March 1, 2026.
Let’s preserve the flavours and stories that make Burlington home.
