MUSEUM TO GO!
Borrow one of our Edu-kits and bring the Museum to you! Edu-kits are a great way to host a heritage-based experience in a setting of your choice. We have two Edu-kits available for rent; our School Kit and our Community Kit.
Bring the history of the land that is now Burlington to life in your classroom, by allowing students to handle artifacts, explore photographs and investigate secondary sources. This education kit includes an artifact identification activity, which can be used as the basis for a Social Studies lesson. Artifacts in this kit relate to daily life for Indigenous peoples and early settlers in the 19thcentury. This kit is recommended for grades K-6.
Experience some of the many heritage stories about the land that is now Burlington, by trying to identify the artifacts! Discover the importance of local history through the Ireland family, Joseph Brant and other prominent Burlington figures and families. Learn more about early rural and urban life in Burlington, spanning the years 1830-1910 through artifacts, photographs and secondary sources. This kit is recommended for any community organization or association.
Our Edu-kits can be rented for $10/week, for a minimum one-week period.
